Take an afternoon to tap into your creativity and discover the magic of monotype printmaking! This workshop is perfect for both beginners and experienced artists.
Beginning with a layer of ink, you'll create images and designs by removing ink to reveal the lighter surface beneath. Swipe, dab, brush, and paint your way across the plate, then press, peek, and pull unique monochromatic prints full of texture, contrast, and unexpected beauty.
Those new to art will leave with simple printmaking techniques and finished artwork to be proud of, while experienced makers can explore new approaches and expand their creative practice.
All ages are welcome; participants under age 9 should attend with a double-digit-age partner.
As with most ArtWaves workshops, all materials and tools are provided, along with step-by-step instruction in a relaxed and encouraging studio environment.
