Creating with Scraps, Fragments, Snippets and Tatter In this mindfully, playful course we will explore various methods embracing ordinary materials ( threads, papers, fiber scraps, cardboard, found objects, etc.) to make unique visual narratives. We will also explore the art of several artists from past to present such as Braque, Picasso, Matisse, Mary Delaney and Hannelore Baron who revolutionized art by incorporating everyday materials into their masterpieces. Inspired by the creative techniques of these artists and your teacher, we will have fun assembling our scraps, fragments, snippets and tatters while challenging the definitions of art through experimentation, breaking art boundaries and rules to create our own forms of expression. No experience needed!
