Join us for a "Sew Down" brought to you by Which Stitch, A Circle of Needles.

Meet fellow sewers to make reusable produce bags that will be given to local farms, markets and food pantries. Unwanted clothing and fabric has a detrimental effect on the environment and this is an easy way to upcycle and make a difference. These bags will replace plastic produce bags that are difficult and costly to recycle.

Our first gathering will be for folks with basic sewing skills. Participants will leave with your own produce bag as well as leaving some bags to be shared. Our hope is to host future gatherings (including kids and youth classes) where learning basic sewing skills will be stressed.  Making produce bags covers many beginning sewing skills.

Machines, sergers, patterns, notions and fabric will be available.

Please bring your own machine if you have one. Bring your own washed cotton or cotton blends from the "fabric stash" or use our washed donated fabrics.

We are looking forward to stitching together with a purpose.

This project is organized by Claire T Weinberg and Paige Collins. For additional details, Claire can be reached at dulseandrugosa@gmail.com and Paige at yellowfarmhouse@hotmail.com
