Here's your time to learn the art of pysanky, Ukrainian egg decorating.
At ArtWaves Kaleidoscope studio, the table is set with candles, beeswax, local eggs, kistkas, vibrantly colored dyes and weall step by step instructions.
I began this with my children and their friends decades ago and the tradition continues. We will be using the same tools and methods that have been used for hundreds of years.
Gather with family or friends to batik - dipping in dyes and applying warm wax over the areas you want to keep, to make colorful elaborate designs.
Try out the electric version of a kistka, or combine techniques. Follow traditional patterns, or create your own designs!
Fun for both kids and adults, although younger kids will need adult supervision.
Our Special Member price is $10, which means after the 1 hour workshop, members can stay and continue until 8pm. Non Members are Very welcome as well!
