Introductory Ballet, K-2nd with Makayla - March 2022
Learn the basics of Ballet skills and vocabulary with instructor-led activities and fun movement-based games.
March 8th, 15th, and 22nd
Tuesdays from 4 to 5pm (arrive by 3:45pm to change out of boots and coats and settle into class)
Ages Kindergarten through Second Grade (parent/guardian can stay to observe)
$40 for 3 weeks ($30 for members)
Please wear socks or bring shoes that have not been worn outside.
Masks and distancing (as possible) to keep all comfortable and safe.
About the Instructor: Makayla Corrigan, is an artist and educator from Rhode Island. After spending a year studying illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design she moved to Mount Desert Island where she received a degree in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor in 2021. Makayla has spent most of her life studying ballet and contemporary dance along with illustration and food systems. She now lives on the island teaching art and dance at ArtWaves along with working closely with local farms as Farm Drop coordinator at Healthy Acadia.
