ZOOM Charcoal with Liz

Charcoal is the simplest medium to use and gets fabulous results. We'll cover how to swipe, shade, draw with a kneadable eraser, and get a basic understanding of how to use these burnt sticks.  The skills that you develop in our lessons apply to drawing any subject and most media in art.

Pick up a kit on campus before classes begin.

All materials are supplied with step-by-step instructions and demonstrations. Your kit includes a variety of drawing materials; assorted papers, vine charcoal, compressed charcoal, kneadable eraser, rubber eraser, clips, small brush, simple viewfinder, grayscale, sandpaper balloon or ball, and shadow info.

Hairspray or odorless fixative (not included) will help fix it to prevent smudging.

Virtually Thursdays from 6pm to 7pm

March 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 31st (no session on 3/24)

Zoom link will be sent in reminder emails.

$50 ($40 for members), late registration available
