Join Mariah Reading in a recycled materials landscape workshop.

Mariah will give you step-by-step instruction on how to create lively landscape paintings using repurposed marine debris. Blending the recycled materials into the backdrop of the location where they were rescued reminds you to see the world around you through a different lens.

Materials you should bring to class: apron(or use one of ours), gesso, acrylic paints, water, brushes, sand paper, rags, cardboard for palettes, printed off imagery of MDI landscape of your choice
About the Instructor: Mariah Reading is an eco-artist and strong advocate for the existence, preservation, and accessibility of the National Parks. She was born and raised in Bangor, Maine where the surrounding landscape gave her a deep appreciation of nature’s beauty that was reinforced by her degree in Visual Arts at Bowdoin College. The 2016 National Park Centennial propelled her Recycled Landscapes, designed to bring attention to the need of preserving and protecting the environment.
