Introduction to painting is beginner friendly workshop that will introduce the basics of acrylic and watercolor painting. Students will leave the workshop with a still life or landscape painting that utilizes the techniques they learned throughout the day. No experience necessary, all materials from aprons to zinc white are included.

Makayla Corrigan graduated from COA, attended RISDI and is an illustrator and instructor in Mount Desert, Maine. She has taught a variety of mediums to a large range of age groups and works as a freelance illustrator, primarily working with watercolors, ink, and digital mediums. She loves engaging with students throughout the process of creation and is excited to be a part of the Artwaves community.
