Carrie Eason is a Pennsylvania native with a love of the outdoors and an adventurous spirit. Carrie earned a BS in Landscape Architecture at Penn State, and worked in that field for twelve years in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. She started teaching art to her four children and their friends as they were growing up in Pennsylvania, and it led to a renewed passion for art. Carrie’s attention to details stems from her teenage years of studying under David Armstrong, a renowned watercolor artist who lived and worked in her Pennsylvania hometown as well as Winter Harbor, Maine.
Carrie is now a year-round resident of MDI and has rediscovered her favorite tools: paint brushes, sketch books and drawing pencils. She primarily works with Acrylic and Pencil, and her favorite subjects are faces and landscapes. When she is not working at her job as administrator of ArtWaves, she can be found chasing her four teenagers around, or hiking the mountains of Acadia, camera always poised to capture the images for her next painting.
