Your Community Arts Center

ArtWaves is currently home to three visual arts studios where people of all skill levels can dabble, or hone their skills, in sculpture, figure drawing, painting, mosaics, printing, fiber arts and more.

Classes and workshops allow participants to learn techniques from artist instructors in the area and beyond. Our state of the art dance studio offers a variety of movement classes forexpression, fitness, and fun.

Weekly Programs at ArtWaves

Which Stitch? A Circle of Needles: Join Paige Collins every Sunday from 1pm-4pm! Participants can bring current, knitting, crochet, sewing, embroidery, weaving, felting, all things fiber and needle projects and work in conversation with each other. Special guests will introduced new techniques.  New to all this? We will provide supplies, beginning instruction and materials for you to try. 

Zen Sitting, Zen Living: Join Laura Neal for a Zen Meditation drop in group every Wednesday from 6pm-7pm. All levels of experience, including none, are welcome, and instruction is enthusiastically offered to beginners. Meditation cushions and chairs are provided. If you are new, please come a few minutes early so we can help you get set up. 

Figure Drawing: Every Thursday from 12pm-3pm, we offer a Figure Drawing in our Fine Arts Studio. Note: We have a live model but there is no instructor.


Artist in Residence

ArtWaves is seeking Artists in Residence for 2024!

Workshop proposals may include art from any media including visual arts, movement and dance, literary arts, and more!

Instructors should have a professional background as an artist or art educator, higher education in the arts, or commensurate experience.
